Laura’s words

I love returning to Digbeth, where pre-covid I had my photography studio. I have shot at The Old Library many times, the team are always so friendly, welcoming and genuinely excited for the celebration. I am always excited when I see Katie for Bloom_Collective is creating flowers for a wedding and with Leona’s beautifully chosen palettes of pinks, she did not disappoint. The only thing more stunning was Leona and Lewis, who had made equal efforts to dress with style and self-expression. I kept hearing people say how Leona looked so herself in what she choose to wear and the romance of the bouquets sat perfectly with her dress.

What I love about the old library is that it facilities a relaxed wedding, because it’s all in one place and it sits in the heart of Digbeth, so there is a playground of places to explore when taking photographs and I had a lot of fun with Leona and Lewis walking the quirky creative streets of Digbeth well past the golden hours.

A highlight for this wedding was also Leona’s hand made tapestry which hung in the grand white church like building in the ceremony and then into the evening an dancing with the words

“Let’s watch the flowers grow”

Words

Leona and Lewis suprised their guests with an ice cream van for their desert, this really added some fun and energy to everyone after dinner. Leona was walked down the aisle by her Mum, something I always wished I had done looking back and is a strong salute to the girl power that lights me up at my weddings, she later made a cracking speech for her daughter too.
